Rape IPC – Rape definition in IPC
Rape is defined under Section 375 of IPC. Section 376 IPC make rape a punishable offence.

Rape meaning in IPC
1. Forced or without consent sexual intercourse, sexual assault;
2. Forceful or without consent Sexual penetration by any other means;
3. Causing other for sexual intercourse forcefully, without consent or showing fear;
4. Causing other for sexual penetration by any other means forcefully, without consent or showing fear.
When a man is said to commit Rape
If he:
(1) penetrates his penis, to any extent, into the (a) vagina, (b) mouth, (c) urethra or (d) anus of a woman, against her will or consent
(2) makes a woman to penetrate his penis, to any extent, into the (a) vagina, (b) mouth, (c) urethra or (d) anus of that woman, against her will or consent.
(3) makes a woman to penetrate any other person’s penis, to any extent, into the (a) vagina, (b) mouth, (c) urethra or (d) anus of that woman, against her will or consent.
penetrates his penis, to any extent, into the vagina, mouth, urethra or anus of a woman or makes her to do so with him or any other person; or
(4) inserts, to any extent, any object into the (a) vagina, (b) urethra or (c) anus of a woman, against her will or consent
(5) inserts, to any extent, any parts of his body (not being penis) into the (a) vagina, (b) urethra or (c) anus of a woman, against her will or consent
(6) make a women to insert, to any extent, any object into the (a) vagina, (b) urethra or (c) anus of that woman, against her will or consent.
(7) make a women to insert, to any extent, any part of his body (not being penis) into the (a) vagina, (b) urethra or (c) anus of that woman, against her will or consent
(8) make a women to insert, to any extent, any part of other person’s body (not being penis) into the (a) vagina, (b) urethra or (c) anus of that woman, against her will or consent.
inserts, to any extent, any object or a part of the body, not being the penis, into the vagina, the urethra or anus of a woman or makes her to do so with him or any other person; or
(9) manipulates any part of the body of a woman so as to cause penetration into the (a) vagina, (b) urethra, (c) anus or (d) any part of body of such woman, against her will or consent.
(10) makes women to cause any part of the body of a woman to penetration into the (a) vagina, (b) urethra, (c) anus or (d) any part of body of such woman, with him, against her will or consent.
(11) makes women to cause any part of the body of a woman to penetration into the (a) vagina, (b) urethra, (c) anus or (d) any part of body of such woman, with other person, against her will or consent.
manipulates any part of the body of a woman so as to cause penetration into the vagina, urethra, anus or any part of body of such woman or makes her to do so with him or any other person; or
(12) applies his mouth to (a) vagina, (b) anus, (c) urethra of a woman, against her will or consent.
(13) makes an woman to apply her mouth to (a) vagina, (b) anus, (c) urethra of that woman, with him, against her will or consent.
(14) makes an woman to apply her mouth to (a) vagina, (b) anus, (c) urethra of that woman, with other person, against her will or consent
applies his mouth to the vagina, anus, urethra of a woman or makes her to do so with him or any other person,
When consent is no consent
(1)when consent has been obtained by putting or any person in fear of death or of hurt.
(2)when consent is give in false belief.
(3) when at the time of giving such consent, person is suffering with unsoundness of mind or intoxication or unable to understand the nature and consequences of consent.
(4) when person is minor.
(5)When person is unable to communicate consent.
What consent means
Consent means an unequivocal voluntary agreement (a) by words, (b) gestures or (c) any form of verbal or non-verbal communication, communicating willingness to participate in the specific sexual act.
